Alcove tubs

Freestanding tubs

Fillers and plumbing

Alcove tubs use a wall valve and spout. Freestanding tubs use a floor-mount filler, a wall-mount filler, or a deck faucet on tubs with a rim. Floor-mount fillers need supply lines run up through the floor, which is easiest during a remodel.

Weight and floors
