From your kitchen to a cut file

Cabinets set & level

We template after base cabinets are installed and shimmed level — or, for a counters-only job, off your existing cabinets confirmed as final.

3D digital scan

A laser or camera system captures every wall, corner, overhang and appliance opening — including the fact that your 1890s walls aren't square.

Seam & cutout plan

Seams placed where they'll be least visible and best supported; sink, cooktop and faucet cutouts located against your actual fixtures.

Slab layout

For natural stone, we lay the template over the actual slab so the veining lands where you want it — and confirm whether one slab covers the job.

Fabrication

The template drives every cut — bridge-saw, edge profile and polish — in about a week.

Same crew sets it

The people who templated are the people who deliver and install, so nothing gets lost in translation.

Why not just use a tape measure?

Because a paper template or eyeballed measurement misses exactly the small variances — settled walls, out-of-square corners, bowed cabinet runs — that a digital scan catches. That's the difference between a tight fit and a caulk line.

How long between templating and install?

About a week for fabrication, then install is typically a half to full day.

Do I need to be home?

Someone should be there to confirm sink and faucet selections and overhang preferences — those get locked at the template appointment.

What has to be done before you template?

Base cabinets installed and level, sink and cooktop on site (or exact models confirmed), and any wall tile that runs behind the counter held until after.
