Insert or full-frame
Insert (pocket) replacement when the existing frames are sound; full-frame when there is rot, or you want to change the size or gain glass area.
Vinyl to tilt-turn
Standard double-hung and casement vinyl and fibreglass, plus European tilt-turn and high-performance triple-glazed units through our building supply side.
Flashed & sealed
Sill pan, back dam, proper shingle-lap flashing tape and a sloped sill — the water gets out, not in.
Insulated & foamed
Low-expansion foam and backer rod around every unit, not fibreglass stuffing — measurable draft reduction.
Entry, patio & storm
Fibreglass and steel entry doors, sliding and swing patio doors, and storm doors — hung plumb with the weatherstripping actually sealing.
Interior & exterior
Exterior casing and capping, and interior trim to match your existing profile — painted or stained.
How many windows can you do in a day?
A crew does roughly 6–10 insert replacements a day. A full-frame job with exterior trim and capping is 2–4 a day.
Are new windows worth it for energy?
Draft and comfort improvements are immediate and real. Pure heating-bill payback on efficient units is long (15+ years) — the case is comfort, condensation and rot, not just the bill. Run the window calculator.
Full-frame or insert?
Insert keeps your existing trim and is faster and cheaper, but you lose about an inch of glass on each side. Full-frame is the right call with any rot or for a size change.
Do you match historic windows?
We can get close with simulated divided lites and the right sightlines. A true historic restoration is a different trade — we will tell you if that is what your house needs.
