Do I need a permit for a detached garage?
Yes, in every Monadnock-region town — a building permit, and often a zoning review for setbacks and lot coverage. We pull them and schedule the inspections.
Slab, frost walls or a full foundation?
A monolithic slab is fine for a simple unheated garage on good soil. Frost walls or a full foundation for a heated shop, a room above, or poor drainage. We decide it from a site look.
Can I finish the inside later?
Yes — we frame and sheath for a future shop, studio or apartment, run conduit and stub plumbing while it is open, and you finish it when you are ready.
