New countertops without a full remodel

The fastest, highest-impact change you can make to a kitchen you otherwise like. We pull the old tops, template the cabinets, and install new stone — usually inside two weeks, with the sink, faucet and cooktop re-set.

What's involved

Done by the crew that measured it

Material

Quartz, granite, quartzite & more

The full surfaces range — quartz for zero maintenance, natural stone for character, porcelain for the thinnest profile.

Template

Digitally measured

Laser templating of your actual cabinets — including runs that are out of square — so the seams, overhangs and sink cutout land right.

Old tops

Removal & disposal

We disconnect the plumbing, pull the old counters and backsplash, and haul them away. Laminate comes off easy; old tile or stone is more work.

Sink

Re-set or upgrade

Re-use your sink and faucet, or move to an undermount or workstation sink while the top is off — the best time to change it.

Backsplash

Patch or replace

A new counter almost always means at least a new backsplash course. Consider a full backsplash or a slab splash at the same time.

Timeline

About two weeks

Template to install is usually 10–14 days. Install day is a few hours; you lose the kitchen for one day, not a month.

Can you install over my existing cabinets?

Yes, as long as they are level, solid and can carry the weight of stone — we check at the template visit. Most stock and semi-custom cabinets are fine.

What does a countertop swap cost?

For a typical Monadnock-region kitchen (40–55 sq ft) budget roughly \$3,500–\$8,000 installed depending on material and edge — run the countertop calculator for your numbers.

Do I need a plumber?

We disconnect and reconnect a standard sink and faucet. A new gas cooktop or a plumbing relocation brings in the licensed trades, which we coordinate.

Will my backsplash survive?

Rarely intact — removing the old top usually damages the bottom row of tile. Plan on at least a new bottom course, ideally a fresh backsplash.
